MOST gun owners and especially most Gun club Members are social bunch of people . A lot of us travel to area clubs to shoot in matches that we don't or can't (long range, shotgun for us ) offer. I plan to expand and expound on this list when if I get to it , but right now I'm just trying to get an initial page started so I can upload this ASAP .So, for a start ...
North State Shooting Club -THE place to go for High Power rifle in this state. They hold matches out to 1000 yards . Great bunch of folks.
Piedmont Handgunners Club -Located south of Lexington , off exit 85 of interstate 85. They have a 200 yard rifle range and LOTS of pistol pits. The closest I have to a complaint about our club is that they hold the RFBR match on the 1st Saturday of the month , which means I can't go to the plate match there . This club has a match of some sort just about every weekend.
Durham Rifle and Pistol Club -Another club that has moved since it's founding . DPRC is south of Mebane off Jim Minor road . A nice well rounded club, they have a 200 yard rifle range and hold High power rifle matches monthly.
Sir Walter Gun Club - A VERY nice Club, though a little far away. They moved in 1988 from near Raleigh to their present location north of Creedmore NC. They have a great Junior Program too !
There are also clubs in Salisbury and Charlotte that have a very good reputation , but I've never been to them so I cannot tell you anything about them . Google is your friend for this . There is also 1 area club range that I am familiar with but can only recommend you don't go there. But that type of information won't be posted here.
