Riverside Gun Club Historical Military Rifle Match<\/strong> Our first military rifle match of 2018 went very well. Had perfect weather, nice attendance and a smooth well run match. Received feedback about how much folks enjoyed the day. Had a good mix of firearms, including World War 2 German G43, Lee Enfield #1 Mk 4, Soviet SKS, M-1 Garand, M-1 C sniper Garand, Swedish M41B sniper, AR-15\u2019s and PPSH41 and Thompson semi-auto sub-guns. We raised the bar this year, with more challenging targets, movement, better strapping and easy paced shooting.<\/p>\n First stage involved \u201cScoring Steel\u201d hits on 10\u201d round targets at 100 yards. Shooters had five rounds, in prone, sitting and offhand positions. Max score was 15 hits.<\/p>\n Second stage was a \u201cSniper\u201d team event. Shooters\/Spotters worked to get three hits on camouflaged steel targets.<\/p>\n Third stage involved \u201cAssault\u201d. Two person teams beginning at 100 yards, shoot two large silhouette, four small silhouettes and ten clay targets. Time was 30 seconds. Throw grenade, advance and shoot remaining targets.
