Barrels, triggers, sights &amp; stock must be service grade. No bedding or special parts allowed (Original Scoped Rifles, may be used). Firearms with same contour commercial parts can compete. Extra points for original rifles.<\/p>\n<p>Four classes of rack grade military rifles:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Civil War \u2013 1885 Era<\/li>\n<li>1886 &#8211; WW 1 era<\/li>\n<li>World War II &#8211; Korea era.<\/li>\n<li>Vietnam to Present (no flat tops or match rifles)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>May use more than one rifle, ideally to have them fill one of the above classes. Example: using a (German K98 Mauser and Soviet SVT 40 semi auto), both would cover #2 WW II class.\u00a0 If firearms fall into different classes, they be grouped higher.\u00a0 Example (M1 rifle and AR 15), would be placed into 4<sup>th<\/sup> class, Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First event<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Scoring Steel<\/strong> &#8211; Using 10\u201d round target at 100 yards.\u00a0 15 rounds course of fire. 5 rounds prone, sitting and offhand. Time limit is <strong>five minute<\/strong> per position. All hits on steel, will count for score.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second event<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Sniper<\/strong>.\u00a0 Team event. Using four inch steel. Have three sighter shots on clays. Select spotter and shooter; they get three rounds to hit designated color targets<strong>, no time limit<\/strong>. May use period binocular or original scope optics May shoot off ammo can, helmet, pack or rolled blanket from prone position. No bench rest type stands or spotting scopes. Score based on number of hits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Third event <\/strong>\u2013 <strong>Assault<\/strong>. \u00a0Team event. Shoot two large, four small steel silhouettes and 10 clay targets. Fire at 100 yards in <strong>30 seconds<\/strong>. Throw grenade to move; where grenade lands, shoot again 30 seconds. Repeat as needed. Only three grenade throws allowed. Unlimited ammo. \u00a0Any missed targets, subtracted from previous scores.<\/p>\n<p>Shooters who do not feel comfortable in the prone; may use sitting position in all events.<\/p>\n<p>Must have three shooters per class, to award trophy\/prize.<\/p>\n<p>No Armor Piercing ammunition \u2013 Only semi-auto fire allowed in match.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Machine Gun Demonstration afterwards.
