In Case You Missed the RGC Dinner and Awards Ceremony

We had a great get together this past Saturday night at the WOW Clubhouse in Denton celebrating the successes of the past year’s competition. Lots of good B-B-Q pork & chicken, slaw, beans, desserts and Oh, Those Hushpuppies! We had $400.00 dollars in cash door prizes and of course lots of trophies, plaques and fat envelopes for the 2018 winning shooters. Many thanks to Wayne, Penny & Kaitlyn Broome, Bob Beaver, Doug Armstrong , Michael Holt as well as many others who devote so much of their time to making our club a special place to enjoy. I am not aware of any gun club that returns so much to it’s members and friends who shoot competitively.

Here’s how the Action Shooters did this year:

Level 1…1st place-Jerry Lock, 2nd place-Dennis Jennings, 3rd place-Danny Coggin, 4th place-Bob Beaver

Level 2…1st place by tie break-Billy Haynes, 2nd place-Jeff Lewis, 3rd place-Dick Williams, 4th-Brian Davis

Jeff Lewis, Jerry Lock and John Kiwacka received special awards of appreciation for their contributions to our club and Jerry also earned the award for “Most Improved” Action Shooter for 2018.”

For his unselfish devotion to all things “RGC” Wayne Broome received the 2018 “Silver Bullet” Award from the Action Shooters.

On Sat. February 9th we’ll be shooting a Rifle/Pistol match so get that long gun limbered up and I will try to get a little more info to you before then.
Thanks to all for your attention to safety and sportsmanship during this past season and hope you’re looking forward to 2019 as another great year to enjoy the shooting opportunities at RGC.
